Get all your things unpacked and make sure your home is in the condition you will want to welcome your guests into. Allow yourself to make your new space feel like home before you rush to invite guests over.

When sending out invitations to your guests, be sure to provide detailed directions. Remember this is most likely the first time your guests will be coming to see your new home. Provide details that will make finding your house simple for guests and include parking instructions as well.

Make sure you are available to answer the door and welcome your guests into your home. It is important to give everyone a warm welcome to make them feel comfortable in the new space. You should also have a plan for how you are going to offer tours to your guests throughout the party.
