      Discover Milwaukee

Known for its breweries, cheese, brats, and the Milwaukee Brewers, Milwaukee is the largest city in Wisconsin. Milwaukee is home to the largest music festival in the world, Summerfest. Eleven days of concerts, great food, and so much more, Summerfest is just one of the great things about Milwaukee. Summerfest is not the only great fest that Milwaukee hosts. Nicknamed the “City of Festivals”, Milwaukee puts several hundreds of festivals each year. From street fests to ethnic fests to art fests and so much more, there is some type of festival for everyone. Milwaukee is also home to many great museums. The Milwaukee Public Museum, Milwaukee Art Museum, Harley-Davidson Museum, Discovery World, and Betty Brinn Children’s Museum just to name a few. The Milwaukee Public Museum was established in 1882 and includes a dinosaur exhibit, old Milwaukee neighborhoods, and so much more. The Milwaukee Art Museum has recently been expanded and has pieces from artists such as Picasso and Warhol. If you enjoy motorcycles, you will love the Harley-Davidson Museum. Experience the history of Harley-Davidson and even take pictures in front of some cool motorcycles. Discovery World is an interactive museum that is fun for the entire family. Located right on Milwaukee’s lakefront, Discovery World has an aquarium with a walk-through tunnel, a ship, DIY projects, a bed of nails you can lay on, and so much more. The Betty Brinn Museum is Milwaukee’s only museum designed for kids. With hands on exhibits, your kids will love it! Take the family to the Milwaukee County Zoo which is open year-round. The zoo is one of the top zoos in the country and has great exhibits no matter the age.  If you enjoy the great outdoors, there are many parks with nice trails surrounding Milwaukee. One of the more popular trails is the Seven Bridges Trail. Featuring a 2-mile look throughout the beautiful Grant Park, the trail is a great place to be one with nature. Named #3 for top urban beaches, Bradford Beach is located downtown and has many volleyball nets and two outdoor bars and is the perfect place to spend a hot summer day. Milwaukee is home to great sports teams. The brand-new Fiserv Forum is home to the Milwaukee Bucks and hosts many different concerts throughout the year. Tailgate at Miller Park then head into the stadium to catch a game. Whatever the weather, there is plenty to do in Milwaukee!
