About the Racine Kenosha Builders Association Parade of Homes
For those unfamiliar with the event, the RKBA Parade of Homes showcases new homes built in Racine and Kenosha counties making it a must-see event for anyone interested in home construction and design. The Parade runs for two weekends – September 14-15 and 21-22 from 11am-5pm each day. This year’s parade offers a unique opportunity to explore six of the finest homes in the area and two of them are Korndoerfer Homes!
An Inside Look at our Featured Home
Both of our homes in this year’s parade are in Canopy Hill, located at 334 Kiddle Lane and 282 Kiddle Lane in Union Grove. The Summerhill Model at 334 Kiddle Lane is our newest addition, while our Geneva Model at 282 Kiddle lane is featured as a repeat showing from last year’s parade.
The Summerhill 1.5-story home boasts 2,501 square feet of living space and features 3 generously-sized bedrooms—each meticulously crafted with comfort and privacy in mind—2.5 bathrooms and a 3.5-car garage, ensuring that it’s both aesthetically pleasing and incredibly functional.
Bathed in transitional golden honey tones, this home evokes a sense of warmth and coziness. Entering this home, your eye will be drawn to the airy raised great room ceiling that slopes up and is open to the second floor. The great room boasts an impressive fireplace with tile, decorative molding, and floor-to-ceiling windows revealing gorgeous tree-lined views.
As the heart of the home, the designer kitchen and dining area creates an ideal setting for entertaining guests or enjoying everyday moments. The quartz topped island, built-in matte white appliances, pecan-stained cabinets, tile backsplash, undercabinet lighting, and golden accents create gorgeous clean lines and a calming atmosphere.
The first-floor primary bedroom offers a stylist retreat with a beautiful box ceiling with drywall beams and large windows with expansive views. The ensuite bathroom features a large walk-in tiled shower, dual quartz-topped vanities, separate commode room, and walk-in closet.
Working from home is a breeze with the elegant office. Decorative horizontal molding on all four walls, a large window and glass French doors make for a great place to work. A powder room, laundry room, and mudroom with built-in lockers complete the first floor.
The gorgeous decorative molding continues as you are lead up the stairs to the second floor. With natural wood textures speckled with honey gold accents, kids or guests can enjoy two bedrooms, a full bathroom and a loft with a stunning view of the great room below.
